Once again, this week has been pretty relaxing and I have mainly just been focusing on my MMS meetings and classes. My class on Tuesday was canceled but there wasn't any email that was sent out, so I ended up going. I only realized that it was canceled when a group of the Korean students came up to me and let me know. On Thursday, for my MMS with Sally, she brought me to the HP Support Center in Wonju and they were finally able to get my computer to connect to the internet. On Thursday night, I went with a group of the GV students to see Deadpool 2 and there was another girl that kind of accidentally stumbled onto our group so we invited her to come with us. Her name is Joanna and she grew up in the Philippines, but has lived in Korea for about 6 years and her English is also really good so she helps tutor some of the students on campus here. After the movie was done, we went to play screen baseball, which is basically just that. There is a giant screen and a real ball is shot out of a hole in the middle of the screen as the pitch and you can play a game against other people. On Friday for our field trip, we went to a Hanji theme park. Although it was more of a museum than a theme park. Hanji is traditional Korean paper that is made from the inner bark of the paper mulberry tree. When we were there, they let us make our own paper and we got to look around the exhibitions that they had set up featuring Hanji. On the first floor it was mostly the history of Hanji and some of the old pieces that they have of it. On the second floor, it was more of an art exhibition with lots of different pieces by different artists that use Hanji. We didn't get to spend a whole lot of time here, but I did get a chance to check out the gift shop and I was able to buy some souvenirs! On Saturday, Marie, Elizabeth, and I went to visit Sally at the cafe that she works at. She was really happy to see us because it had been really slow that day. She made us all hot chocolate and french toast. She was a little worried about the french toast because she hasn't had a lot of chances to make it, but it turned out really good. We definitely plan on going back there and trying some of the other food.
